Today was interesting, but only because not too much has happened in the past few weeks that's been really interesting. So here goes.
No wait, I almost forgot about yesterday. Me and Marc set out to go see a movie (That Hip-Hop one) but then we both realised the we had no desire whatsoever to see it at all. So instead we headed up to Church Street to have dinner. We picked the Rainbow Village Cafe (or something like that), a quiet little indoor/outdoor corner restaurant near the end of the strip. It was nice. We chewed the fat for a while and caught up and talked. Then we went to a nearby park and played on the swings, and then went to Baskin 31 Robbins to enjoy Ice Cream (Marc went across to Yogen Fruz)
I just realised something... Isn't "Yogen Fruz" just "Frozen Yogurt" in German?? That's so unoriginal...
So anyways, back to today. Me and my dad and my sister had to go downtown to get her a passport, so we step outside and... oops! Our new Vintage Mercedes has a flat! We pump it up as much as possible and head down to the midas at the corner of our street, which just happens to be owned by none other than Mr. and Mrs. Chung, the parents of a guy in my class. We found this out by accident 5 or 6 years ago, it's a small world I know. By the time I drove the car down there my dad had already been talking a bit with Mr. Chung. He's friendly, but in a creepy way. After my dad pulled me into the conversation by saying something like "My son doesn't really play sports... right Giancarlo?" After, Mr. Chung started going on about how you shouldn't be forced into playing sports or something... to be honest I actually didn't understand what he meant. He then said... no, that's too weak... suggested... that's it. He then suggested that I join the Tai Kwan Do aroung the corner. This threw me off. He started talking about all the benifets of learning self defence and whatnot. I'm fine with my various array of self made moves, thank you... REGENERATE!!
Then I went inside to the little waiting area while the tire got fixed. Inside was Mrs. Chung. She's nice, but now I realise she's kinda creepy too. She started asking me how different classes were and how my marks were. She seemed to be VERY obsessed with Josh's marks and she told us how she was pissed that he got a bad mark in English (which was apparently a low 70... is it that bad?) Then things moved on to Church, and she explained to us how Josh HAD to go to their Korean parish every Sunday, even if he didn't want to. When we explained how we don't go to church, she said "You Don't!?" Very suprised, like. That threw me off a bit.
Well... ok, maybe that wasn't really that interesting, but oh well.
